Where to place your guardian at home: the honest guide

Where you put it changes the link. Not by magic: by common sense applied to something living.
When your guardian arrives, the first question is: where do I put it? And the answer is not unique — it depends on the lineage, the type of house, your routine. But there are general principles that apply to everyone.
I'll tell you without cheap esotericism.
Principle 1: respect its scale
Elemental guardians are small beings. Don't put them in a giant corner of an empty living room — they feel lonely and scattered. Neither does squeezing between a hundred objects — they feel invisibilized.
The ideal place is one where:
- Have at least 30 cm of free space around them (a circle of presence).
- But no more than a meter and a half with nothing nearby.
- Be at eye level when you are sitting or standing in the usual position in that room.
Principle 2: respect your element
This is important: each lineage asks for closeness to its element.
Water fairies
Near a bowl of water, a fish tank, a vase with fresh flowers, a window with a view to the outside. Avoid: arid places, direct heating, kitchens with open fire.
Gnomes and hill guardians
On a solid surface, near glass or stones. On solid wood, not on hanging shelves that swing. Avoid: places with a lot of movement, bathrooms, laundry rooms.
Tree Spirits
Close to live plants. It doesn't have to be a garden — just a well-kept plant. Avoid: environments without nearby plant life.
Sylphs and air guardians
Near a window where air flows, at heights (high shelves, high shelves). Avoid: closed places without ventilation, rooms without windows.
Elves
They are the most adaptable. Any place where there is everyday human life works for them: living room, room where you sleep, family kitchen (non-commercial). Avoid: rooms where no one ever enters.
Principle 3: respect your routine
The guardian works best where you spend time in a relaxed state. Not where you're doing things in a hurry. There are three places that usually work:
Near where you read / meditate / take mate
If you have an armchair where you sit in the afternoon, a small table where you drink mate, a reading corner — that is one of the best places. The energy of "you pause" feeds the bond.
In your room
Especially if your bond with the guardian is intimate. That it is in your field of vision when you sleep activates its presence during the night. Some people prefer it on the nightstand, others on a shelf facing the bed. Avoid: directly above the bed, inside drawers, behind furniture.
In your creative workplace
If you work at home, especially something creative (writing, design, sewing, therapy). The guardian enhances deep concentration.
Places to avoid
From experience, DO NOT put them in:
Bathroom
The bathroom has a different energy density — elemental beings wear themselves out there. Exception: water fairies can be in a large bathroom with plants, but in general it is not ideal.
Behind the TV
Large screens generate electromagnetic fields that confuse beings. If your only available spot is near a TV, put it more than 1.5 m away.
In places with a lot of constant noise
Kitchen with permanent extractor fan, laundry room with washing machine, garage. It doesn't deactivate them, but it tires them.
On the ground directly
Out of respect and practicality. They need height so as not to be at the level of people passing by.
In public places in the house where people who don't understand will touch them
If many visitors come into your house and can manipulate the gatekeeper without thinking, put it in a more intimate place. Beings are not fragile, but the constant touches of people without intention wear them out.
A good place is where you can look at it and breathe at the same time.
Principle 4: They can move, but not too often
If you move it:
- Mentally let him know beforehand (yes, seriously — a "let's try it here").
- Do it during the day, with natural light if possible.
- Wait 7 days before deciding if you like the new place.
- If you move it more than 3 times in a month, slow down — you're disorienting them.
First place is often not definitive. It's okay to try. But after 2-3 tries, commit to one.
When there are several guardians
If you have more than one, you can:
Put them together
If they are from compatible lineages (two fairies, an elf and a gnome, vegetables with water fairies). Generate a small community.
Separate them
If they are from opposite lineages (air sylph with earth gnome, water fairy with very dry hill guardian). They don't get along badly, but their presence is cleaner apart.
Distribute them around the house
Each one in a different room. If you have 3-4 guardians, this usually works very well — each space in your house has its accompaniment.
The final test
After choosing a spot, do this: sit near the guardian, quietly, for five minutes. No phone. Just breathe and look.
If after five minutes you feel good, calm, settled — that's the place. If after five minutes you feel uncomfortable, distracted, wanting to move — try another place.
Your body tells you if it works. Trust that more than any theory.
