Celedonio
Their story and magic
Celedonio smiles like that because he has the best trade in the forest: introductions. His talisman is a master caller, one of the few left, and it rings in a way only elves can hear every time a person, somewhere, wishes for good company without knowing how to ask. Then Celedonio sets to work. He looks into it, observes, compares, and when he finds the right elf for that person, he brings them together little by little, like someone introducing two friends he's sure will love each other. The amethyst at the base keeps the record of every match he's made, and they say he's never gotten one wrong. That's why he's always cheerful, in his lilac wool with his cap half-drooping: there's no surer joy than bringing together those who were looking for each other without knowing it.
