Their story and magic
Eleuterio collects lovely moments that no one else collects: a table full of laughter on an ordinary Tuesday, the smell of wet earth coming through the window, two people sitting in comfortable silence. People live them and let them go, sure that what matters comes later, and he gathers them before they're lost. The amethyst of his talisman keeps them intact, smell and all, and the mushroom protects them from forgetting, that slow-gnawing creature. When he sees someone with a grey soul, Eleuterio opens the jar and lets one of his out: that's why sometimes, out of nowhere, you remember an ordinary afternoon from years ago and your chest warms for no reason. It wasn't nothing. It was him, giving you back something of yours you never knew was a treasure.
