Its story
Amancio is the one who plants the amethysts — that's why this land is full of them. He works on a timescale no one would understand: he picks a place where the earth is sad, digs with his hands, buries a little crystal the size of a seed, and waters it just once with storm water. Then he leaves, smiling quietly, knowing that stone will take more than a hundred years to grow and that he won't be there to see it. He doesn't mind. His staff carries at its tip the first amethyst his grandfather planted, the one that taught him that the important things are done for someone who hasn't arrived yet. He walks in his dark robe among the hills, marking places only he recognizes. To sow calm that another will harvest: there is no more generous, quieter trade than that.
